AAJA San Francisco Bay Area Chapter election results

AAJA San Francisco Bay Area Chapter members have elected a set of officers and board members for 2024 who have experience in broadcast television, newspapers, online news and social media.

Harry Mok, the assistant opinion editor and a columnist at the San Francisco Chronicle, was elected president. He served as interim president in 2023 when the chapter’s other officer and board positions were vacated.

KTVU reporter Jana Katsuyama and KRON anchor Stephanie Lin are the chapter’s vice presidents.

Documentary filmmaker and visual journalist MJ Johnson is the new secretary.

Chronicle business reporter Roland Li will serve as treasurer.

The chapter will have four board members:

  • Hayden Kim, social manager at Bleacher Report
  • Han Li, a reporter at The San Francisco Standard
  • Kevin Truong, business editor at The San Francisco Standard
  • Erin Woo, a reporter at The Information

The officers and board will hold a retreat in January to map a strategy to advance AAJA’s mission and to better serve the chapter membership and the Bay Area community.
