About the facilitators

Elaine-Kong.jpgElaine Kong graduated in the spring of 2016 with a broadcast journalism degree from California State University, Fullerton. She is a hard news reporter with two years of experience in live reporting and creating packages on a daily basis. Hurricane Harvey shaped her as a hard-hitting journalist who cares about the characters in her story.

LIan-Parsons.jpegLian Parsons is a recent journalism graduate from Temple University. She writes for print and online and has covered topics including technology, business and finance, nonprofits, education and general news. In her free time, she can usually be found watching cat videos.
