Dat Winning (yes, that’s seriously what it’s called — pretty genius right?) in association with the AAJA Sports Task Force are proud to announce the 2018 Dat Winning Fellowship Application.
This fellowship is geared for Asian Americans who are interested in a career in sports journalism. Fellows will work for Dat Winning from May to October 2018 for a total of six months. They will be paired with a mentor to guide them through the world of sports writing during the program.
Fellows will be required to submit 10 stories of 500-1000 words and one long-form piece of 2,500-plus words during the six-month program. These pieces may also be posted on NBC Asian America.
Fellows will also be awarded free registration to AAJA’s National Convention in Houston from August 8-11.
Please be aware that this is not a paid fellowship. This is meant for aspiring journalists to gain experience in the sports writing field.
