Chapter President Cecilia Lei participated in a discussion of the experience of Asian American women co-presented by KQED and the Center of Asian American Media.
Lei was on a panel hosted by Mina Kim of KQED “Forum†with Grace Lee, director and producer of the documentary “Asian Americans,” and Michelle Mush Lee, founder of Whole Story Group. They discussed storytelling and other ways women can use their voices to reclaim the Asian American narrative in the fight against racism and to demystify the “model minority†stereotype.
